Ski & Snowboard Season Coming Soon

We know you’ve got the ski and snowboard bug and so do we! The fall weather has everyone thinking snow or wishing for it at least. Typically Snow Summit and Bear Mountain open mid to late November and the season lasts all the way through late April. It won’t be long before we start charging up the snowmaking lines and opening lifts and runs by the dozens but until then, we have the Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair to enjoy. The Sky Chair is open weekends only through the start of winter operations.

How are the snow conditions mid december??

    • suzie says:

Snow conditions vary depending on the weather. Usually the conditions in December are good to very good however last year was exceptional with frequent powder conditions.

I’d like to now if it’s possible to ride a snowboard in early november.
    Thank’s to the answer.

It’s hard to predict what the weather has in store for us long term. We’ll open for skiing and boarding as early as possible. Last season we opened Bear Mountain on Oct 30th so it’s possible our resorts could be open early November we’ll just have to wait and see. Opening day is usually announced a few days prior.

  5. Savanna Hinkle says:

Can you let us know which dates will be “peak weekends and holidays” so I can price my family ski trip?

  6. nikki bones says:

Heard this year is the year of “La Ninja”, which translates to a dry winter. Has anyone heard the same?
Hope that snow is like or a least close to last year!!
