Thanks to Mother Nature and this cold, dry weather we’ve been making snow for 42+ hours. These are the kind of conditions that allow us to make a lot of “real” snow. This is some of the best early season riding Snow Summit has seen in years and with all this snowmaking we’re excited to open more lifts and runs as soon as possible. With great snowmaking comes cold weather, the high today will be 27 degrees with possible below zero wind chill so break out your warm cozy gear. Were looking at a machine groomed packed powder to machine groomed hard pack with lots of new snowmaking. All three roads into Big Bear are open with no chain requirements. All vehicles must always carry chains when traveling to the mountains during the winter months. Red=runs open, Purple= runs next to open
