The Snow Summit New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade is set to begin around 7pm tonight. More than 200 employees are expected to participate in the annual event. Each snowboarder and skier will carry a torch light as they serpentine down the slopes; the show is free to spectators. Shortly following is the New Year’s Eve Party featuring DJ Desi, Party Favors, and hors d’oeuvres. Party entry fee is $20 and you must be 21 or older with valid ID.
With two full service mountains, all 26 lifts available, night session through January 7th, and over 200 park features Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are definitely on Santa’s nice list! With all the snow we’ve gotten already, it’s hard to believe that winter is just starting, but we’re kicking it off with a 2-3 foot snow base, 98% of our runs are open and excellent snow coverage. The weather up here is amazing with clear blue skies forecast all the way into next week! After the past couple days of cold, temps are starting to rise just in time for the holidays. Layer up for night session tonight, which is held every night through January 7th.
