Winter is moving in on Big Bear Valley! Our most recent storm left us with a few inches of snowy goodness but its not quite enough for us to open for the season. There are more storms on the horizon and hopefully that means snow-making weather will be here before we know it! Typically we open mid-late November depending on weather and conditions. Once we are open for skiing and snowboarding we will open our reservations lines so you can ensure your spot on the snow for the holiday season.
Don’t forget to check out our Sport Shop! With all new winter gear for the 2013-14 season available now, plus biking and summer gear on SALE.
THE BIKE PARK WILL BE OPEN THIS WEEKEND (November 2nd and 3rd)! The Scenic Sky Chair will be open this weekend on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We are still operating on a weekend by weekend basis. We have not determined whether we will be open the weekend of the 9th and 10th. In preparation for the winter season we will have chair 1 closed for routine maintenance. The View Haus will also be closed for the weekend but there will still be hot food, snacks and drinks served at the BBQ in the base area.
The Bear Mountain Golf Course is now closed for the season.

Our friends over at the Bear Valley Community Healthcare District made a catchy video in hopes of raising money for the Soroptimist non-profit organization and helping less fortunate women in the Bear Valley community obtain routine breast exams for the prevention of breast cancer. With the help of community members, hospital employees, physicians, and auxiliary members we have created this video in hopes of winning the competition. Please consider our small community for a chance to win big!
Since 1994, the Soroptimists of Big Bear Valley have raised funds to provide screening mammograms for the uninsured and underinsured women of Big Bear.
