You like having the freedom of choice, even when it comes to skiing or snowboarding. You want a variety of trails and features with snow on the ground, is that too much to ask for? It is when you’re a resort outside of Big Bear. Some resorts have closed for the season or they call it “Temporarily Closed”. It’s not like a convenience store where they “Temporarily Close” for 15 minutes for shift change, the resort hasn’t opened in days. We may still be a week away from the first official weekend of Spring, but the weather is here early. Forecasters are calling for a weekend of amazing weather and temperatures in the low to mid 60’s. Perfect weather to pack things up and head to the mountains for some Springtime fun! While the other resorts in Southern California have had to shut down “temporarily” or are offering a trail or two- you will still find plenty of snow, trails and features for all ability levels at Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. In fact conditions are still so good we have added this Saturday Night to our Snow Summit Operating Schedule. We finished out our scheduled nights last week, but we’re going to keep it going this Saturday Night by leaving the lifts on and firing up the lights for you to ski or ride until 9:30 pm.
