What’s It Going To Be: Mid-Week Fun Or The Big Party Weekend? A Little Planning Will Save You Either Way…

After the storm we had roll through and the tremendous amount of snow we were able to make- the conditions do not get much better. In just over a week we have received 16-20 inches of natural snow and have had five nights of snowmaking allowing us to offer mid-winter conditions in the first week of March.  Mid-week skiing and riding this week will be the best of the season thus far and those who are able to ski and ride will find amazing conditions almost to themselves. You should be one of the few, the cruisers, the mid-week brigade… After this amazing week of skiing and riding we are headed into one fun weekend. Saturday, Bear will host our 11th Annual Scout Day. Scouts from all over Southern California will be at the resort to earn their Snow Sports Merit Badge. Sunday, Snow Summit will hold the fourth race of […]

The Storm Has Arrived

Mother Nature adheres to her own schedule. Luckily our snowmakers stick to theirs. We turned the snowmaking system on at about 2 pm yesterday and it ran through this morning. We will fire it up again tonight to supplement the natural snowfall. That is how we will make sure you’ll find the best conditions for skiing and riding in Southern California at our resorts. Mid-week powder days are the topic of conversation when looking back at a season and this one’s sure to come up later. Forecasters are sticking to their earlier predictions and talking about total accumulations of 10-12 inches by the time things wrap up. Sounds like Monday might be taking the title of Funday this week… Don’t forget you can save money on lift tickets when you […]

Great Week For Mid-Week Riding And Looks Like More Snow Is On The Way

Sunday afternoon we had a storm roll in that stuck around through Monday night and dropped 9 inches of natural snow. The temperatures also allowed us to make snow through the storm and an additional night as well. End result: a completely resurfaced playground  of machine groomed, packed powder for you to enjoy. Now for the best part. Computer models indicate we have entered a weather pattern and a storm following a very similar  track is slated to pull into town Friday. It is expected to linger through the weekend and into next week. It will also, most likely, allow us to make snow. Longer range looks call for this pattern to continue. Don’t put those skis and snowboards away yet- it looks like the best of the season is yet to come! Plan ahead by purchasing lift tickets in advance and save money. Pick up your lift tickets through […]
