If you haven’t had a chance to make it up to Big Bear yet, now’s the time to come ski and ride! The snow coverage is excellent with full-width runs and a solid snow base. With nearly every single run open and the toned down midweek crowds, you practically have the mountain to yourself especially if you like the upper runs like The Bowl, TimberRidge, Log chute and Perfect Pitches. Enjoy clear blue skies today with temps in the mid 50′s.

There’s some serious history behind Westridge; Many would even say Westridge innovated park riding and paved the way for park builders around the world, but history is for school, let’s get in the now! And now, Westridge is the place to be. With nearly 100 features and freestyle terrain for all levels of riding, Westridge is one of So Cal’s best kept secrets. A lot of people preach Bear for park riding, as they should, it’s one of the best in the world, but Summit is Bear’s sister and the good genes run in the family. Presidents’ Day on the Snow

Celebrate President’s Day in Big Bear where we have excellent midwinter conditions. It’s been a great long weekend and it’s not over yet. There’s plenty of snow, nearly 100% of both resorts are open with plenty of terrain park features between Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Chair lifts are open today at Snow Summit until 5pm so you can be sure to get all of your favorite runs in.

Insider’s Tip: Chairs 7 and 10 for intermediate to advanced riders have the least amount of wait time, chairs 2 & 3 are best for park riders, and chair 9 is perfect for families and advanced beginner and intermediate skiers and snowboarders.

Come spend the long weekend in our Winter Wonderland for less than a tank of a gas away round trip. We are nearly 100% open with full-width runs and plenty of terrain features for everyone. If you haven’t made it up to Big Bear yet this season, now’s the time!

Things are looking excellent this weekend at Snow Summit with mostly sunny skies. We received new snow last week and we’ve been making snow at every opportunity.

We have a special night session tonight (Sunday) from 3-9:30pm.

New Snow in Big Bear

We received 14-16 inches of fresh powder yesterday and the midwinter conditions are excellent. Both resorts are nearly 100% open with full-width runs and plenty of terrain park features.

This President’s Day weekend forecast is mostly sunny with temperatures in the upper 40′s. Now is the time to experience a winter wonderland right here in your backyard and it’s only a tank of gas away round trip.

Night session tonight, Saturday AND Sunday night this holiday weekend from 3pm-9:30pm

Winter Wonderland

Fresh powder is cause for celebration! In addition to snowmaking this week we have 14-16 inches of new snow today. Nothing gets you powder hounds more excited than powder and packed powder runs right!? This snow storm is expected to move out this morning leaving mostly sunny skies through the long President’s Day Weekend. Now’s the time to come experience winter.

Winter in Big Bear

We’ve received 6-7 inches of fresh snow so far today and it’s still dumping! Old Man Winter also stopped in Monday, bringing us 2-3 inches of natural snow and the cold, dry weather has been great for snowmaking the past couple of nights. Enjoy the packed powder conditions and get ready for a great day tomorrow!
