Thanks for a Great Season!

We have officially wrapped up the 2012/13 Ski and Snowboard season here at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Thank you to every one of our guests and employees who made this year so successful.

We received 75-90 inches of natural snow this year and the conditions were just right for a great year of snowmaking. Thanks to our state-of-the-art snowmaking system and unlimited water supply from Big Bear Lake, we were able to build the deepest snow pack in the winter and stay open into April! We also had a great season of events and races, including Goldsmith’s races, USASA competitions, the JO Qualifiers and the 17th Annual Victor Alvarez Memorial Race and Silent Auction.

This summer at Snow Summit promises to be a fun one, full of hiking, mountain biking, golfing and sightseeing! The Bear Mountain Golf Course and Driving Range is scheduled to open May 17th and the Sky Chair’s projected opening is May 25th. If you already have your 2013/14 Dual Mountain season pass, enjoy FREE scenic rides on the Sky Chair all summer! We also have some exciting new changes in store, so please check our summer website in the coming weeks!

Today is Closing Day!

Come up for the last day of the ski and snowboard season today. Both Snow Summit and Bear Mountain will close for the 2012-13 winter at 4pm. We’re wrapping things up with another day of mostly sunny skies and fun spring conditions. All of your favorite runs are still open including The Wall, Miracle Mile, Summit Run, Westridge and Timber Ridge.

Join us in the Bullwheel Bar from 3-6pm for an end of season party.

Our Dual Mountain Season Pass gives you access to 26 lifts, 55 runs and 438 skiable acres! With a 2013/14 season pass, you can ski or ride the rest of this season and all of next season too! It’s the Ultimate Discount to your season of fun.

Try us out first and at the end of the day you can apply your ticket price to a season pass (same day only).
Buy your pass today and use it for the rest of this season and all of next season too. Some passes pay for themselves in as few as five visits.
Dual Mountain season passes are also valid for scenic rides on the Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair this summer (not valid for mountain biking).

Closing Weekend

Both Snow Summit are Bear Mountain are open for skiing and snowboarding through Sunday, April 7th.

The weather is amazing and the spring conditions are just as fun as always, so give yourself a 3-day weekend get up here for your final few turns of the season! All of your favorite runs are still open with good snow coverage, including Log Chute, Timber Ridge, Miracle Mile and Westridge! Remember that if you want to call it a day early, turn in your ticket by 1pm and get a voucher valued up to $15 to put towards your next lift ticket. It’s good for one full year so you can save it for your first trip of next season!

Open Through Sunday, April 7th

It’s official, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain’s last day of the 2012/2013 winter season will be April 7th, 2013! Sunny skies and spring conditions are making for a really fun last week, so come out and spend a few more days with us on the slopes.

Operating hours today and tomorrow are 9:00am-4:00pm and this weekend are 8:30am-4:00pm.

SoCal’s only open ski resorts are Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. How are we the last ones standing? Spring Break Special

Spring Break is all about fun in the sun, and we’ve got plenty of both! And now students can save some cash when they spend their Spring Breaks in Big Bear.

Students will receive $20 off an all-day lift ticket when they show their high school or college I.D. at any ticket window. Young adults (ages 13-21) can receive a lift ticket for just $29 and adults (ages 22+) for $39, valid Mondays through Fridays for the rest of the season.

Ski or ride all day and then kick back, relax and work on your tan from the deck at the Slopeside Pub!
