We have officially wrapped up the 2012/13 Ski and Snowboard season here at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Thank you to every one of our guests and employees who made this year so successful.
We received 75-90 inches of natural snow this year and the conditions were just right for a great year of snowmaking. Thanks to our state-of-the-art snowmaking system and unlimited water supply from Big Bear Lake, we were able to build the deepest snow pack in the winter and stay open into April! We also had a great season of events and races, including Goldsmith's races, USASA competitions, the JO Qualifiers and the 17th Annual Victor Alvarez Memorial Race and Silent Auction.
This summer at Snow Summit promises to be a fun one, full of hiking, mountain biking, golfing and sightseeing! The Bear Mountain Golf Course and Driving Range is scheduled to open May 17th and the Sky Chair's projected opening is May 25th. If you already have your 2013/14 Dual Mountain season pass, enjoy FREE scenic rides on the Sky Chair all summer! We also have some exciting new changes in store, so please check our summer website in the coming weeks!
