Look What We Woke Up To This Morning! - 7:41pm, 11/3/2014

Yesterday we definitely got our first taste of winter, but it looks like Old Man Winter was just peaking his head in to say hello and tell us that he’ll be back later. So for now we will continue with our Summer Activities! One thing we know for sure is that all this weather is gonna make for some epic Hero Dirt!

This dusting has just wet our appetites for more of what’s to come. Winter is just around the corner and with it comes more snow and cold weather. This storm definitely didn’t bring us our first inch of snow here at Snow Summit. Do you have a prediction of when we might get our first inch? If you do, share them with us on “Twitter”. If you guess correctly, you will win two one day lift tickets that can be used anytime on opening weekend! What are you waiting for? Tweet your answers to #FirstSnowInBigBear. (In order to be entered into the contest your guess must be tagged and submitted through “Twitter”) Good Luck!!

We Had Our First Taste of Winter! - 6:20am, 11/2/2014

We had our first taste of winter overnight. Well, it was more of a tease than a taste. We had wind, rain and snow over the past 24 hours which forced us to close our Bike Park and Scenic Sky Chair for the day. Our plans are to re-open again tomorrow, Sunday November 2nd. For all you Downhill enthusiasts out there you can look forward to a “Hero Dirt” day!! Come play and ride in the mud with us!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

We still haven’t gotten that first inch of snow. Do you have a prediction of when we might get it? “Tweet” your guess using the tag #FirstSnowInBigBear. The winner will receive two lift tickets to opening weekend! To have your answers submitted to the contest use Twitter and be specific with the time and day. We wouldn’t want you to miss out on the opportunity to win lift tickets!

The Snow Summit Bike Park and Scenic Sky Chair will be open Fridays through Sundays as long as we can.

Happy Halloween!! - 1:25pm, 10/31/2014

It’s Friday, Halloween and The Snow Summit Bike Park is open!! It’s going to be a great day!

We are expecting our first snow of the season tonight and into tomorrow. How much will we get? No one knows for sure. Do you have a prediction of when we will get our first inch of snowfall? If you do, “Tweet” your prediction using #FirstSnowInBigBear. Be specific, all entries must include the date and time. If you guess correctly you could win two lift tickets for opening weekend! That’s not a trick; it’s a treat!

Since we are expecting snow, we will tentatively be open on Saturday, November 1st for our summer operations (it’s not time to pull out the ski’s yet). It all depends on how much snow accumulation we have by morning. If we get couple of inches of snow, we will close The Bike Park and Scenic Sky Chair for the day with plans to re-open again on Sunday. We will update our website and social media platforms with any closure information.

Have a Happy Halloween, be safe and have fun!
