We just need a few more nights of snowmaking before we have the appropriate coverage to open for the season. If Mother Nature cooperates we will open with 2 lifts, Chairs 1 and 8. Chair 1 will service the top of the mountain and provides access to intermediate level runs. Chair 8 services the beginner area. Plan on arriving early as ticket sales may be limited due to limited terrain.
If we are open Wednesday we will offer ski and snowboard lessons and rentals.
Hours for Wednesday: will be 8:30am-4:00pm. Ticket windows open at 8:00am.
Early season pricing will be in effect.

It’s a beautiful snowy day in the Big Bear Valley! With the recent storm that has passed through the area not only did we receive a few inches of fresh natural snow, but the cooler temperatures have opened the door for snowmaking to start.
When the snow guns are on, the sounds of them pumping out that snowy goodness can be heard for miles from the resorts and is another sure sign that the winter season is just around the corner.
At this time we still do not have an expected opening date and will continue to make snow at every opportunity.
Last night we received another 2-4 inches of fresh snow plus nearly 20 hours of snowmaking. Things are starting to warm up now and the sun is peaking through the clouds in different parts of the valley. The forecast is now predicting more snow to come later in the week for Thanksgiving. With conditions like this we could be opening soon, but have no set opening date at this time.
Always carry chains and drive cautiously.
