^^^^^ Do you see that? There is snow in our future! Forecasts are calling for up to nine inches on the mountain! Conditions next week should be ripe for more snowmaking. So we’re looking at snow on snow! It will start as rain on Thursday (great for the reservoirs!) before the temperature drops and we get glorious snow. Bear Mountain is now scheduled to open for daily operations on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 8:30 am. Bear will open with Chair 1, but if conditions improve we could get Chair 9 going, as well! Keep thinking snow, it’s working!
It’s shaping up to be a glorious day in Big Bear. We’re open from 9 am – 4 pm today, and we have six skill-builder features on Miracle Mile. Bear Only pass holders can still come ride Summit this week! The base is still 6-18″ on machine-groomed, hard pack that will soften as the day warms up. We are still offering early season rates for lift tickets! The buddy ticket is good to bring a friend with you one time for free any time before Dec. 19 or after March 16. You can get your picture taken and have your pass printed on site, for extra convenience! Note that our show special does not include the Cali4nia Pass. We’ve set up a mini slope and our professional instructors are on hand to give free ski lessons. For the snowboard-inclined kids, Bear Mountain is setting up a mini run of their Riglet Park.
