Local forecasts are calling for snow this weekend. Keep the positive affirmations coming, we want snow! We have six skill-builder terrain features on Miracle Mile now. Snow Summit is proud to be the only resort in Southern California open and we are working hard to open more runs and features as the weather improves. With the holidays looming, our Sport Shop might have just the thing for the Snow Summit fan(s) in your family. From hand-painted tree ornaments to picture frames and stuffed animals, the Sport Shop has much more than just winter clothes! Bear Mountain is scheduled to open on Friday, Dec. 12, for daily operations. Follow their Facebook for updates about conditions and runs. If you come say “hi” to us when the convention opens at 4, you can take advantage of our show special: get $30 off any season pass over $100 and get a free buddy ticket. Can you sneak to the slopes today? Looks like we have a great day of skiing and riding on our hands today before a weather system moves in for the middle of the week. We’re hoping the forecasts calling for snow pan out but either way it looks like we’ll be collecting some water back into Big Bear Lake! With the lake water level over 12 feet below normal, any precipitation in the valley is very welcome! Skiers and riders will find a groomed surface of hard pack snow which will soften up pretty quickly as the day warms up! Lifts open at 9 am this morning with Chair 1 providing access to the summit and top-to-bottom skiing and riding via Miracle Mile as well as Chair 8 servicing our Bear Bottom Beginner Area! See you on the slopes!
