Big Bear Mountain Resorts has one of the largest snowmaking systems in the nation and have an unlimited supply of water thanks to Big Bear Lake. Snow Summit was the host of the first ever winter X-Games . The View Haus at the top of Snow Summit has some of the best views in the state for dining. Snow Summits Bike Park was the 5th most visited bike park in it’s first year of business last summer. Snow Summit has been in business for over 60 years.
Our snowmaking system has been laying down some fresh snow since last Tuesday and we will continue to do so as weather conditions permit. At this point we expect to open more terrain later in the week. New to open for today is lower Log Chute! Westridge and ZYZZX will be CLOSED December 10th, we expect both runs to re-open tomorrow with park features. New runs, new features, and we are still offering our early season rate of $48. In the past 24 hours Big Bear has gone into winter mode! With snow falling from the sky and our top of the line snowmaking system things are turning white. Media and News vans filled the parking lot today as excitement grows inside all of us to make those first turns of the season. Check back tomorrow morning for updates on tonights snowfall totals.
