Roads Open

All 3 ways to Big Bear are open with no chain requirements. For those of you who are familiar with the front way to Big Bear you will be pleased to know the road is now open full time. Hwy 330/18 underwent heavy reconstruction after the damage it endured last winter. Larger turnouts, new retaining walls, and additional guard rails were included in the road repair project over the summer months. The bridge at Big Bear Lake Dam also had major construction, in fact it’s an entirely new bridge and makes for more efficient and safer travel. While this route is still the most popular of the roads to Big Bear you may still want to take Hwy 38 thru Redlands or Hwy 18 the back way on the busier days.
