6-8 inches of New Snow Yesterday

Yesterday’s 6-8 inches of fresh new powder was icing on the cake! We’re starting off the new year with excellent mid-winter conditions and perfectly groomed packed powder runs. Today is sunny with the high reaching 35 degrees. We recommend using Hwy 38 (through Redlands) or Hwy 18 (the back way through Lucerne Valley). Hwy 18 thru Lucerne Valley and Hwy 38 thru Redlands are open with NO CHAINS required. Hwy 330 is closed below Running Springs. There is a detour through Lake Arrowhead however this route is much longer and not recommended. All vehicles must always carry chains when traveling in the mountains during winter months.
