Enjoy sunny skies, highs around 40 and excellent midwinter conditions all week long at Snow Summit! Friday’s snow storm dropped 18 inches of snow, with an additional 2 inches Friday night and 2-4 more inches on Sunday night, bringing our weekend storm total to 24 inches! We’ve also been making snow the past few nights and have a packed powder surface today. All roads are open with no chains required, so come up now for the best skiing and riding conditions of the season! No case of the Mondays here! We received 2-4 inches of fresh snow last night! With 18 inches of fresh snow on Friday and another 2 on Friday night, the weekend storm total is up to 24 inches! We’ve also had great snowmaking the past two nights to make for some excellent midwinter conditions. The snow surface ranges from machine groomed packed powder to powder and the forecast is mostly sunny. Today’s high is a cool 30 degrees which will help keep the snow in great shape all day long. Chair 1 is closed for maintenance but Chair 2 is open and accesses the entire mountain.
Bear Mountain is shut down for the afternoon. Bear Mountain guests are welcome to use their lift tickets at Snow Summit or head to Guest Services and get a voucher to return to the mountain another day. Enjoy one more sunny day on the slopes because winter weather is expected to return by late tonight! Snow showers are in the forecast and expected to last through tomorrow and into Saturday morning.
