No case of the Mondays here! We received 2-4 inches of fresh snow last night! With 18 inches of fresh snow on Friday and another 2 on Friday night, the weekend storm total is up to 24 inches! We’ve also had great snowmaking the past two nights to make for some excellent midwinter conditions. The snow surface ranges from machine groomed packed powder to powder and the forecast is mostly sunny. Today’s high is a cool 30 degrees which will help keep the snow in great shape all day long. Chair 1 is closed for maintenance but Chair 2 is open and accesses the entire mountain.
Bear Mountain is shut down for the afternoon. Bear Mountain guests are welcome to use their lift tickets at Snow Summit or head to Guest Services and get a voucher to return to the mountain another day. Enjoy one more sunny day on the slopes because winter weather is expected to return by late tonight! Snow showers are in the forecast and expected to last through tomorrow and into Saturday morning. Head over to Chairs 7 and 10 and spend the day on the east side of the mountain where you’ll find wide open runs and short lift lines.
We received 3 inches of fresh snow last night and also had a great night of snowmaking! We’ll continue to make snow throughout the day and as long as conditions permit. Today’s forecast is cool with a high of 30. Flurries have tapered off and we’re looking at mostly sunny skies for the rest of the day. With a packed powder to powder surface and excellent coverage, it’s a great time to extend your weekend and spend a day on the slopes!
