We made more snow overnight thanks to low temperatures, a hard working snowmaking crew and our state of the art snowmaking system. Remaining unaffected by the snow drought the rest of the state is dealing with, Snow Summit has 85% of our terrain open with good coverage, wide open runs, black diamond steeps, a large beginners area and one of the longest terrain parks around! This year Snow Summit is also a great New Years celebration destination. New Years’s Eve we have the annual Torchlight Parade starting promptly at 7pm. After the Parade we will be offering the most desirable NYE party in the valley, with DJ Slipmat and DJ Desi on the turntables, great food and strong drinks served well into the year 2014! Don’t miss the celebration.
Tired of doing the same thing and going to the same old parties every year? Start fresh this year and ring in 2014 in a new and unforgettable way! Make plans to spend the new year with us! We’re starting the night off right with DJ SlipMatt at Slopeside Pub at 6pm. Night session runs from 3pm-9:30pm and we will take a brief hiatus around 6:30 to shut off the lights and light up the night with our Torchlight Parade. The parade will start at 7:00 p.m. and although you can view it from all over the Big Bear Valley, the best view is right here at the base of the resort. After you get your fill of night skiing join us at the Bullwheel Bar for our New Year’s Eve Party. Tickets are $25 at the door and heavy hors d’Oeuvres will be served. Guarantee your spot on the snow […]
Thanks to a solid 8 hour snowmaking run late Christmas night our conditions have recently improved. We have plenty of terrain available for all types of skiers and snowboarders looking to spend some time on the slopes this holiday break. From steeps on the east side to terrain parks on the west side Snow Summit has something to offer you and your family. Don’t forget about our New Year’s Eve party at the Bullwheel Bar January 31st. We will also be hosting our traditional Torchlight Parade! The parade will start at 7:00 p.m. and although you can view it from all over the valley the best view is right here at the base of the resort. We are expecting a higher volume of business the next few weeks so we recommend arriving early and reserving lift tickets to save time in the morning and avoid the lines!
