It’s the beginning of March and spring is only a few weeks away but don’t tell Mother Nature that! She thinks it’s the middle of winter and we’re not complaining! The most recent storm system brought us 8-11 inches of snow over the past 48 hours and today will be one of the best days of the season on the slopes. Today’s conditions are groomed packed powder with snow good coverage. Please use caution near the runs edges. We are open today from 8am-4pm for full day and 12-4pm for half day. Grab your buddies and get some packed powder laps in! If you’re looking for a little excitement, head over to Bear Mountain and check out the War of Rails finals today. Some of the best skiers in the world are here in Big Bear and battling for cash prizes and bragging rights.
Over the last several hours we received between 1 and 2 inches of new snow to blanket our slopes and the forecast predicts it will keep snowing till around 11:00 am today! We received 12-14 inches of fresh snow last night and another 2 today for a grand total of 14-16 inches! Come up today and enjoy this midweek powder treat! Snow showers are starting to taper off now and and we’re looking at mostly cloudy skies for rest of the day. Today’s high of 30 degrees will keep the snow in great shape, but be sure to bundle up. If you can’t make it today, tomorrow looks to be just as fun. Be here for the best conditions of the season; we know you’ll be stoked! Chair 1 is down for maintenance but Chair 2 is open and accesses the entire mountain.
