Our operations crew just came in with the official snowfall analysis and the accumulation is up to 4 inches now. The National Weather Service is predicting additional snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches overnight. That is excellent news because our water collection facility we call Big Bear Lake can hold this water until we can make snow again. If you’re asking, will the snowmaking ever stop? Not if we can help it. If you had some obligations to tend to, like a baby shower or a birthday party and you missed out on your Saturday in the mountains, there is hope. Our night session this evening will start at 3 pm until 9:30 pm. All roads to Big Bear are open with no restrictions so it’ll be an easy drive up to the mountains. Thanks to the best snow conditions in 2 years, we have all 26 lifts available here and at our sister resort, Bear Mountain. These lifts will take you to terrain for all levels, from beginners to advanced, and provide you access to better conditions than any other SoCal resort! Caltrans has reported that all roads to Big Bear are open and clear. You have an easy drive this weekend to the mountains so you can finish the Holidays out with a weekend to ski your choice of day and/or night sessions.
