Thanks to the best snow conditions in 2 years, we have all 26 lifts available here and at our sister resort, Bear Mountain. These lifts will take you to terrain for all levels, from beginners to advanced, and provide you access to better conditions than any other SoCal resort! Caltrans has reported that all roads to Big Bear are open and clear. You have an easy drive this weekend to the mountains so you can finish the Holidays out with a weekend to ski your choice of day and/or night sessions. Easy drive, 26 lifts, 114 features, and 42 trails between both resorts! There’s no reason your family shouldn’t be here this weekend. Tickets may sell out so make your reservations online in advance.
We are starting 2015 off with more than a foot of fresh snow! Today we’ve got 12 lifts servicing 19 runs, including The Wall. Ticket windows and rentals open at 7:30 and the first chairs start at 8. Our surface conditions are 12-26″ of the lightest powder and machine groomed, packed powder. CalTrans reports that R2 Conditions are in effect on all routes to Big Bear. For Road Condition updates please check here. It’s going to be a bit warmer today – in the 30’s! But watch out for that sub-zero wind chill. Brrr! This cold weather is keeping our fresh powder nice and dry in conditions you typically only see in Colorado or Wyoming. Don’t forget to Tweet and Instagram your #SlopeSideSelfies. Our annual Torchlight Parade is set to begin tonight at 7pm. This free event features 250 skiers and snowboarders cruising down Miracle Mile with bright torchlights in a beautiful display that lights up the slopes. Afterwards, join us and the torchlight riders for a New Year’s Eve party like no other. The 21+ party is $20 at the door, which includes music, appetizers and a champagne toast. Stay safe and plan ahead for tonight: the road conditions are changing rapidly today and currently chains are required on all routes in and out of Big Bear.
