The Snow Summit Bike Park and Scenic Sky Chair will be open this weekend October 19th & 20th and October 26th and 27th. Following the Sunday the 27th we will be open on a weekend by weekend basis and will determine a closing date depending on weather and conditions. Sky Chair and Bike Park Hours: Saturdays 9am-5pm and Sundays 9am-4pm. In preparation for winter we will be shutting down chair 2 for maintenance this weekend. All Sky Chair riders and mountain bikers will be asked to use Chair 1 and wait times may be longer. We apologize in advance for any delays. This weekend will also be the last weekend to rent bikes here at the resort. We will still have rental bikes for sale. For more information click HERE. We have officially wrapped up the 2012/13 Ski and Snowboard season here at Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Thank you to every one of our guests and employees who made this year so successful. We received 75-90 inches of natural snow this year and the conditions were just right for a great year of snowmaking. Thanks to our state-of-the-art snowmaking system and unlimited water supply from Big Bear Lake, we were able to build the deepest snow pack in the winter and stay open into April! We also had a great season of events and races, including Goldsmith’s races, USASA competitions, the JO Qualifiers and the 17th Annual Victor Alvarez Memorial Race and Silent Auction. This summer at Snow Summit promises to be a fun one, full of hiking, mountain biking, golfing and sightseeing! The Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair is closed for the season. Thanks to everyone who helped make this summer so great! We look forward to seeing you skiing and snowboarding this winter. With cold weather and a little snow in this week’s forecast, it looks like winter could be here before you know it!
