Fresh Snow Plus Snowmaking!

Snow Summit has received 6+ inches of fresh snow and we have also been making snow since early last night.  We have packed powder conditions and the snow coverage is good on Miracle Mile, Upper Summit Run and the Bear Bottom Beginner Area.  Today’s forecast calls for even more snow, and the snowmaking looks favorable for the rest of the week. Although high wind warnings are in effect, Big Bear is not typically affected as we are not in the passes or canyons where the strongest winds occur. With this inside slider snowstorm combined with around-the-clock snowmaking, we will be opening more lifts and runs soon.
