Better Late Than Never…

Good Morning! We expected our storm to pull in overnight, but it looks as if things are really just getting going this morning. We did receive about an inch of snow as of 5 am and the National Weather Service has continued the current Winter Storm Warning calling for a 100% chance of snow today. Predictions are calling for snowfall totals in the area of 12 inches with locally heavier amounts. Snow should continue through the night and tomorrow with lingering snow showers through Tuesday morning. So… Our storm had a schedule of its own, so did our snow makers- and they stuck to theirs. We made snow all night last night and we will continue into this morning with snowmaking taking place on a trail or two throughout the entire day. Here It Comes…Are You Ready For Tomorrow?

In a few minutes we will officially enter the Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service. The Warning takes effect today at 4 pm and is scheduled to stay active through 4 pm on Monday. Total snowfall predictions are varied, but it looks as though we will get at least 3-5 inches of natural snow with some estimates claiming we could see local accumulations between 1 and 2 feet! Tomorrow could be the powder day of the season. Where will you be? At 8 am the place to be is going to be on the first Chairlift. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Big Bear area which takes effect at 4 pm this afternoon and remains in effect through 4 pm Monday afternoon. The Warning calls for periods of snow showers with locally heavy snowfall for the mountains above 5,000 feet. Our snow makers have been at it every moment conditions have allowed this past week and it looks like they will be able to continue through this storm further ensuring you will find the best conditions in Southern California at our resorts.
