  Thanksgiving is coming and here in Southern California it looks like warmer temperatures with windy conditions are ahead of us. The warm winds were actually really cold before it travels down the mountain. The cold winds combined with the dry humidity makes for excellent conditions when it comes to making real snow. Just in case your kids ask you how snow is made, we have a video from the Travel Channel that explains the process. While you’re hot in the lower elevations, we’re enjoying cool snow making weather at Snow Summit. A Little Winter Nostalgia

  It’s summer… It’s hot…  Yes, we’re having fun golfing & hiking and the Bike Park offers a million thrills, but there’s still nothing like winter.  The sound of your skis or snowboard across the fresh corduroy from last nights grooming.  The feeling of flying across the clouds of fresh powder.  The bluebird days and the sick night sessions!
