The Storm Has Arrived

Mother Nature adheres to her own schedule. Luckily our snowmakers stick to theirs. We turned the snowmaking system on at about 2 pm yesterday and it ran through this morning. We will fire it up again tonight to supplement the natural snowfall. That is how we will make sure you’ll find the best conditions for skiing and riding in Southern California at our resorts. There is a saying about not liking Mondays, but from the way tomorrow is shaping up- what’s not to like? Mid-week powder days are the topic of conversation when looking back at a season and this one’s sure to come up later. Forecasters are sticking to their earlier predictions and talking about total accumulations of 10-12 inches by the time things wrap up. There Is So Much Going On This Weekend

We have our last Friday Night Session tonight, but don’t worry, we’ll keep our Saturday nights going for awhile. Thanks to our world class snowmaking system we have more coverage so that you can ski or snowboard longer. On Saturday, Jack FM will be providing the entertainment. They will be mixing it up at the Slopeside Pub from 12 – 2 pm. We have Power 106 joining us this Sunday at Bear Mountain. They are bringing a few friends with them…have you ever heard of Jordin Sparks or Flo Rida? They will be here Sunday for the annual Snowed In event! If you can’t make it the mountains this weekend, perhaps you can make it to Pasadena for Air + Style at the Rose Bowl. This event combines two of Shaun White’s favorite things; live music and snowboarding. This event takes place Saturday and Sunday. Buy Tickets Now Check for the latest […]

We Made Snow

It’s been a busy morning for the crew while they were preparing our resort for a fantastic day. We made snow! The snow guns were running early this morning while you were getting your beauty sleep. Then the groomers started working on uniform corduroys. Most people don’t like Mondays. It’s a different case for the ones that ride mid-week. These are the ones that wait for Mondays because it’s the beginning of their week in the snow. They know that during the middle of the week is the time when they can come up, park, gear up, get right on a chair and take big wide turns at their own pace. It makes for a very calm and peaceful session. If you’re a mid-week skier or rider, you’re knodding your head in agreement right now. You can expect mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures. Our base depth is 8 – 24” […]
