Snowmaking Continues

The snow conditions keep on getting better! Now that Mother Nature has decided to finally show up to the party winter feels like it has finally arrived! The recent fresh snowfall was an awesome addition to our coverage but the best part is the cool weather brought along dry air that has allowed us to make snow for nearly 3 days straight!  Thats a fresh new layer every night! Todays snow surface is groomed packed powder. We have been periodically closing runs to improve the coverage and the difference is night and day. Sundown and upper Timberridge will reopen today. We apologize for the inconvenience but Ego Trip will be closed today for snowmaking. Just What We Needed

While natural snowfall has not been on our side,  thanks to our state of the art snow making system, we have been able to make enough snow to keep the coverage good and remain mostly unaffected by the “snow drought.” Yesterdays storm came at a perfect time and added just enough natural snow to really improve the current conditions. We made snow all night last night and will continue through today on some runs. Weather forecasts show more potential snow early in the week so head up for some of the best conditions of the season. Snow Summit is open today from 8am-6pm for day session, 12pm-6pm for half-day […]

Happy MLK Day!

Happy Martin Luther King Day! Come spend your extra day off with us on the slopes. We were able to turn on the snowguns last night and make some fresh powder for the base area.  Blue bird skies and spring like conditions are expected for today, which makes it a perfect time to learn how to snowboard or ski. Take a lesson with our awesome Snow Sports School. They will show almost every trick in the book! Just to prove you how good our snow is, we are willing to take other mountain season pass holders. If you have a pass to other resorts like Mtn. High, Mammoth, or somewhere on the east coast, come on up to Big Bear Mountain Resorts and receive 50% off you lift ticket. Just show your lift ticket to Guest Services and get your discount! Take advantage of this and let us show you […]
