As of 8:00 pm we have received 1-3 inches of new snow. It is still snowing and we hope to wake up to a powder day on Friday. At this time all roads leading into Big Bear are open with chains required on all vehicles except 4WD with snow tires. It will take a little bit of extra time to get here but, tomorrow is going to be an EPIC day of skiing and snowboarding. Thanks to lower temperatures we were able to resume snowmaking last night. We are now making snow in the Family Fun Park off of Chair 9, upper Perfect Pitches and Sugar Pine off of Chair 10 and we have closed upper Timber Ridge today to continue snowmaking.
Snow Summit and Bear Mountain now have 18 available lifts and plenty of wide open runs for all levels of skiers and riders! Today Chair 10 opens serving Perfect Pitches, SugarPine and Side Show. Snowmaking has been concentrated on Lower Westridge which is one of the next runs to open and additional jibs and snow features will be available soon. All roads into Big Bear are open with no chains required. Red=runs open, Purple=runs next to open
