The last day of 2013 is upon us and what could be better than spending it shredding the slopes! Thanks to some much needed snowmaking weather and our state of the art snowmaking system the conditions are super fun right now with a 12-24″ base and good coverage. Tired of doing the same thing and going to the same old parties every year? Start fresh this year and ring in 2014 in a new and unforgettable way! We’re starting the night off right with DJ SlipMatt at Slopeside Pub at 6pm. Night session runs from 3pm-9:30pm and we will take a brief hiatus around 6:30 to shut off the lights and light up the night with our Torchlight Parade. Check out Snow Summit’s annual Torchlight Parade beginning tonight at 7pm. View the serpentine of lights from across the lake or right here at the base of the mountain. The New Year’s Eve party will follow, Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails will be served and the cover charge is $10. Today is going to be a chilly one; so be sure to dress warm and have fun! Enjoy excellent packed powder conditions. We recommend using Hwy 38 (through Redlands) or Hwy 18 (the back way through Lucerne Valley). HWY 18 thru Lucerne Valley and HWY 38 thru Redlands are open with no chains required. Hwy 330 is closed below Running Springs. There is a detour through Lake Arrowhead however this route is much longer and not recommended. All vehicles must always carry chains when traveling in the mountains during winter months.
