Let the snowmaking continue! The past few nights our snowmaking staff has been able to take advantage of low temperatures and humidity and have had the snowmaking system running nearly around the clock. With good coverage, a 12-24″ base and 85% of our terrain open, Snow Summit remains in good condition this holiday season, unlike most of the other California ski resorts who are affected by the snow drought. Preparations are underway for tomorrow evening and our annual Torchlight Parade. We will have night session from 3pm-9:30pm but will take a short break and shut down the lights for the event which begins at 7pm. DJ SlipMatt will be spinning at Slopeside Pub beginning at 6 and through the parade then stick around for the NYE party at Bullwheel bar with DJ Desi and usher in the new year with good music, great food and strong drinks!

We’re starting the night off right with DJ SlipMatt at Slopeside Pub at 6pm. Thanks to a solid 8 hour snowmaking run late Christmas night our conditions have recently improved. We have plenty of terrain available for all types of skiers and snowboarders looking to spend some time on the slopes this holiday break. From steeps on the east side to terrain parks on the west side Snow Summit has something to offer you and your family. Don’t forget about our New Year’s Eve party at the Bullwheel Bar January 31st. We will also be hosting our traditional Torchlight Parade! The parade will start at 7:00 p.m. and although you can view it from all over the valley the best view is right here at the base of the resort. We are expecting a higher volume of business the next few weeks so we recommend arriving early and reserving lift tickets to save time in the morning and avoid the lines!
